The Hanumantha Rao Residence, an ornate ancestral house, was to be substantially renovated to meet the family’s changing requirements & add aesthetic value. Being a corner plot, the house becomes a prominent location with high visibility. Many openings strategically planned on the North-East facade allow substantial light to enter this 3-storeyed residence. The original structure has been retained by strengthening the structural members. The internal courtyard provides for visual continuity between the 2 levels of the house. This contemporary renovation project uses a subtle combination of grey traventine, HPL cladding & metal members for the entrance canopy.
