Being a part of a larger Master plan for the NITTE Campus, the new Boys’ Hostel blocks occupy almost 4.54 acres. The topography as well as ‘hurdles’ put across by statutory authorities dictated much of the design. The hostels are designed to be non-conforming, thought-provoking and spaces for collective living. The zoning of the Hostel blocks are done in a way that the three high rise blocks are placed next to each other while the Jr. Hostel block is designed as an independent tower. The two senior hostel blocks have a connecting bridge between them understanding similar usage. The Cafeteria block houses the kitchen, store, dining and recreational facilities for guests along with their housing on the topmost floor. The roads connecting the hostel buildings is a route embedded with food kiosks, a departmental store, ATM facility and other such essential facilities.
